About Julia Bell Photography

Firstly I'd like to tell you a little about me. I'm a Mummy to 5 year old twins, Thomas and Amy. I took a 4 year break from my photography as I decided to be a full-time Mummy. I am now re-starting JBP as it is time to come back to one of my first loves, photography! Since becoming a Mummy I can fully appreciate how important it is to have beautiful photos of children that you can treasure for years to come, they grow far too quickly!

I enjoy photographing babies, children and families either in the comfort of their own home, while relaxing in the garden, or when enjoying a local beauty spot or family gathering. In 2014 I started my studio photography from the comfort of my home in Epsom. The studio shoots are very relaxed and ideal for young children (groups no bigger than 4-5 at a time). I studied at the London College of Fashion for 4 years and worked within the Fashion industry for over 16 years. I have combined my love of photography and fashion and found some gorgeous backdrops that help me to create a unique style to my photography. Please click here to see some of my studio work. I enjoy capturing families lifestyle's in a natural, informal way. I started photography with film, developing my own prints in a darkroom, but now I shoot entirely digitally.

The majority of my photographs are taken using natural light as this is usually the most flattering. For gloomier days, I use powerful, but portable studio lights which are easily able to light up any large room.

All prints developed, albums sourced, and canvases produced are carefully sourced from the UKs leading professional photographic suppliers to guarantee superb quality.
